Umusic Uphoria
Shortlisted for Arts Thread Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2024
Umusic Uphoria is Universal Music's 2024 event focused on bringing all the staff members together for a night of pure joy and connection.
Attendees will wear motion-detecting "U Bands" that track heart rate, dopamine, endorphins, and movement, turning this data into real-time visualisations that fill the venue, enhancing the euphoric atmosphere.
Two months later, each attendee will receive a personalised "Uphoria Rewind," featuring customised data visualisations to share and connect with colleagues.
The event provides a unique opportunity for staff to escape daily routines, bond with each other, and experience a night of pure celebration and unity through music.
Animation Visuals
The U Band
The U Band features galvanic skin response sensors which track the users experience. The QR code enables the staff member to create a personal profile using their Universal Music log in.
The individual data is then processed and converted into a personalised Uphoria Rewind.
This allows each staff member to see what their concert experience was like and also encourages them to share their Uphoria with colleagues.
In The Venue
As the staff members walk into the Roundhouse venue, they will feel instant euphoria as psychedelic animations fill the foyer, creating an immersive experience and a tantalising preview before the main event begins.
